New book cover
When Richard Osman announced he would be publishing a new book he wrote a quiz. The fans went wild.
Being a Boxall means being a Quiz Master - we love quizzes! Family quizzes are a big part of every Boxall celebration (even weddings) and I thought to myself, 'If Richard Osman can do a quiz, so can I!'
So here is my quiz à la Richard Osman. I hope you like it.
(answers at the bottom of the page)
PART ONE: THE TITLE REVEAL
Most people, when they publish a book, like do a dramatic Cover Reveal. Well I'm going to do a Title Reveal because my cover design is no secret - I've been using parts of it in all my social media for a while.
ANAGRAMS
To give you a clue, the title is five words long and the whole thing is an anagram of all of the following - give it a go, it took me ages!
Any Wholehearted Finch Can Ruin
He Can Unify a Netherworld Chain
Find An Unholy Earthenware Chic
If you work it out from one of those, you’re a genius!
SONG TITLES
The gaps in these five song titles will give you the five words in the title, but not in order.
SHAPE -- YOU – ED SHEERAN
-------CHUTNEY – PREM JOSHUA (this is tricky, it’s a city in India beginning Ch)
THE ------- TRAIN – VERNON DALHART
--- GREATEST SHOW – HUGH JACKMAN
NAUGHTY -------- FROM MATILDA
LANGUAGES
Here is the title in three different languages. I should point out that I have put the title through Google Translate, so it may not be strictly accurate.
WELSH: PLANT FFO CHENNAI
DUTCH: DE WEGGELOPEN KINDEREN VAN CHENNAI
FRENCH: LES ENFANTS FUGUEURS DE CHENNAI
CHILDREN'S BOOK TITLES beginning with THE
The word ‘The’ is a great way to start a book title.
Can you name these much-loved children's books and their authors?
(Try this round on any children you might know - you might be shocked at how few they know. Apologies to all those clever children who do know!)
